A small group who wish to promote Lincolnshire Sports Clubs and their Members, to Maximise the health and potentional of the People of Lincolnshire.
We came together while we were working with LOAF (Lincolnshire Outdoor Adventure Forum). They evolved into the LVSF, (Lincolnshire Voluntery Sports Forum).
Our group split from there, at the start of 2007, when certain actions were taken which were not explained in detail to us, and we were concered that the Sports Clubs of Lincolnshire were being disadvantaged by the setup.
We repurchused the Sporting-lincs name, but we also promote what Lincolnshire is doing to prepare for the London Games

Foundation Principles Febuary 2007:
Collaboration and Partnership:
- Ensure that voluntary sector sport is adequately represented
Representing and Influencing:
- Seek to ensure that voluntary sector sport is consulted by and plays a leading
role in the decision making process of county sports policy.
Service Standards, Quality, and Membership:
- Support and communicate to/with the full range of voluntary sector sports and
not just those that help deliver the government's policy agenda.
Engaging:
- Encourage social inclusion and equity in Lincolnshire sport.
Capacity Build:
- Value and promote the interests of voluntary sector sport.
Ensure Fair Play
- Its important that funds are spent to promote and help Sports Clubs and not wasted in Empire Building.
[Note: The word & term "sport" is used to define active recreation, physical sport and physical outdoor
recreation in the context of community, healthy living, and education. Hence sport is referred to as the
European definition. The "voluntary sector" includes both formal and informal volunteering.]
Sport embraces much more than traditional team games and competition:
"Sport means all forms of physical activity which, through casual or organised participation, aims at
improving physical fitness and mental well-being, forming social relationships, or obtaining results in
competition at all levels." Council of Europe, European Sports Charter 1993
